When faced with a health challenge, it is a natural response to look for a remedy to alleviate the pain or discomfort of what is going on in the body. There is nothing wrong with that. No one should suffer if there is a way to get relief. Dealing with pain alone can drain you of vital energy. Sometimes it is necessary to seek relief from an external source so we can resume our daily activities or take care of our families. Beyond attending to the obvious, at some point, when the problem becomes chronic, we need to recognize that our soul is calling out to us on some level of consciousness with a deeper need for healing. We may blame external circumstances but ultimately the need is internal within our own being. Nothing outside us can heal the wounds that fester within. Anything external is merely putting a band-aid on the problem only to have to deal with it again at a later time.
We are immersed in a “matrix” made up of beliefs and thought concepts about how we should conduct ourselves. When we are under the control of the matrix, we experience a draining of our life force over time until we become a shadow of our real, authentic self. This most often happens when we are not grounded in our own personal power. The matrix is defined by a collective consciousness with a belief structure that tells us how to act, what to wear, how we should live our lives, even what we should eat and think. We are bombarded with messages every day within the matrix that dictate rules about everything we think and do. It is easy to lose oneself within it as it is made up of the very institutions that we interact with on a daily basis. Included within the matrix are businesses, churches, schools, corporations, and government.
On a more personal level the matrix includes: our family of origin, our friends, our co-workers, and our relatives. This matrix has accepted beliefs and false concepts that we have internalized as real, passing them down from generation to generation. They influence how we see ourselves in our world, what we believe is possible, even what health problems we believe we will incur because someone else in the family has had them. These beliefs can actually make us more vulnerable to health challenges because when we believe them to be true, we give them power from our thoughts that fuels their eventual manifestation.
It doesn’t matter what the label is for the condition: diabetes, heart disease, cancer, hormonal imbalances, migraines, digestive issues, anxiety attacks, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol. These health conditions do not just happen to us because someone in our family has suffered from it. They manifest as a result of many contributing factors that have created a fertile ground for the same disease or health condition to recreate itself in our own bodies. These factors include learned behaviors, the same belief structure, and the same lifestyle and dietary habits that we have repeated in our own lives. They can also happen because we have deeply internalized the erroneous belief in our subconscious mind that we are destined to suffer from the same malady because we are in the same gene pool, which we assume will make us victims of our genetics.
If you want to get insight into some of the limiting beliefs that you may have internalized that are affecting your health and well-being, become aware of how you perceive the world around you. What we perceive outside of ourselves is a reflection of what is going on within our own consciousness. Our world merely reflects back to us what we believe to be true and where we have gotten stuck in the matrix of mass consciousness. We are the ones who give definition and meaning to everything we see. Our bodies mirror back to us what we think and feel about ourselves and how we perceive ourselves in relationship to the world around us. The goal is to become aware of our projections and then evolve the perceptions we have of ourselves and others. It is human nature to project negative qualities onto others until we are willing to own them within ourselves.
Every health challenge presents the opportunity to transform a part of ourselves into something bigger and better. Our job is to open our hearts and minds to greater possibilities for ourselves than that which we have accepted as our limits up to this point. The meaning of a health issue may not always be clear or obvious in the beginning of your quest for truth, but over time, with some self-reflection, a greater understanding of the thoughts and perceptions underlying a condition will come to the surface for healing. The one necessary prerequisite is to fully, completely, and unconditionally see yourself with eyes of love right where you are, with whatever your challenges may be. The goal is not to change yourself but rather change the way you perceive yourself.
