The health of our physical body is inseparable from our core beliefs about ourselves and the lives we live. We have become conditioned to believe that our physical body is something that needs to be managed and treated as a disease process. What really needs to be managed is our mind. Our bodies may be vulnerable to infections, injuries, and illnesses, but they are not the cause of our afflictions; and we are not powerless victims of a disease process.
I invite you to expand your perception of who you are and what is possible in the realm of healing. You have a physical body that needs proper care and nourishment to perform necessary daily functions. You also have an energetic body that inhabits your physical body. This is made up of your emotions and thoughts that are moving in and through your conscious mind, and beliefs that are active in your subconscious mind. “Every thought you think and every emotion you experience activates a physiological response within your body”
There is always some form of response, no matter how big or small it appears. If you are feeling anxious or afraid, the response may manifest in the form of a nervous stomach, rapid heartbeat, or cold sweat. If you are feeling peaceful and content, the response will be one of calm and relaxation. Beliefs that you have internalized will be reflected in a variety of ways (such as behavior patterns, muscular tension, and even dysfunction) within certain systems of the body. We may deny we feel certain things, but our bodies will never lie to us.
I work with and believe in a healing paradigm that includes all levels of being in the healing process, recognizing that your physical body is the vehicle for the expression of your soul. Instead of treating the body like something that needs to be controlled, start treating it as a sacred temple that needs to be honored so it can reflect your beauty, your light, and your love back to you. Realize symptoms are the body’s way of communicating where there is stress or imbalance that is affecting your well-being. Take time to go within and become aware what the symptoms are connected to.
You have control over what you put into your body. Feed yourself foods that give you strength and vitality. Learn how to use food as medicine. Exercise to bring more oxygen into your bloodstream for your cells to utilize. Reflect on your thoughts and notice what you are really thinking. Cleanse your mind and body from everything that is not life- giving.
Challenge yourself to expand and transform your existing belief structure to support a greater perspective of what is possible for you and your life. Trust that everything that happens is meant to help move you into your greater self. Make every word, every feeling, and every thought align with the highest vision of health that is possible for you. Learn how to engage the power of your mind to create health and well-being. Bring more joy into days. Take time to meditate. And remember, the body has the capacity to heal from almost anything when given the right support. Live as a spiritual being having a human experience!
