One of several vital keys to unlocking the door to healing is found in the energy of joy. Joy is a vibration that uplifts and fuels the cells of the body with vital energy. Joy is an attitude; it is the presence of love – for self and others. It comes from a feeling of inner peace, the ability to give and receive, and appreciation of your Self and others. It is a state of gratitude and compassion, a feeling of connection to your innermost self, your soul. It is the essence of who you are.
We have been programmed to believe that we need to struggle and suffer in order to grow or heal. That is not necessarily the truth. You can make a decision to experience joy rather than struggle, regardless of what is going on around you, by changing your belief system. It can be that simple. You just need to believe you deserve to experience joy in your life. By believing you deserve joy you will expand your capacity to open and receive that which brings more joy to your heart.
Other ways to access joy and increase it in your life is to put your energy and focus on the activities that bring you joy. You know what these are by the level of freedom you feel when you engage in them. Joy-filled activities provide you with a greater freedom of expression as they are soul-directed rather than personality-directed. They are the things you really want to do with your day, the activities that put a spring in your step and a smile on your face versus the things you believe you should be doing. Personality-directed activities are often based on “shoulds” and do not express your higher purpose. Soul-directed activities are always an expression of your higher purpose.
Learn how to let go of external distractions that deplete your energy and consume your valuable time. You are 100 percent in charge of your time and what you do with it. Your life force is the greatest gift you will ever receive. Take time to look at the areas of your life where you are investing your energy and ask yourself if they bring you joy and energize you or if they deplete you of your vital energy. You cannot heal yourself if you are giving your energy away or participating in activities that deplete you. When you get up in the morning, instead of focusing on the problems you may have to handle, ask yourself what could you do this day that would bring you joy. Joy is not based on circumstances but rather on your focus. What you put your focus on grows. Make a decision that you will begin to live more joyfully, regardless of what is happening in your life or the world around you. The more you center yourself in joyful energy, you will life everyone around you. The energy of joy will heal you and be a gift to the world around you. Joy can become a way of living every day of the world, not just on the holidays. If you are looking for support to create more joy in your life, let’s talk.
